Seide s.r.o. is based in the Czech Republic. The competent lead supervisory authority is the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (ÚOOÚ). Insofar as our services are specifically directed at individuals in Germany (Art. 3(2) GDPR), those individuals may also contact the relevant German state data protection authority.

Data Collected & Purpose

Contact Form

When you use our contact form, we collect the following data:

This data is used exclusively to process your enquiry and to get in touch with you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation of a contract or pre-contractual measures at the request of the data subject).

Obligation to provide data: Fields marked with an asterisk (*) or labelled as "required" are necessary for processing your enquiry. Failure to provide this data means we will be unable to process your request. The optional fields are voluntary and help us handle your enquiry more precisely.

IP Address

When using the contact form, an anonymised hash of your IP address (SHA-256, with a cryptographic salt) is stored to protect against spam. The IP address itself is not stored in plain text. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the security of our systems and protection against misuse).

Technical note: Due to the use of a cryptographic salt, it is not feasible to reverse the stored hash value back to the original IP address. The hash is used solely to detect and prevent spam and abuse.

Contact by Email

If you contact us by email, your email address and the content of your message (including any attachments) will be processed for the purpose of handling your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).

Hosting & Data Security

Our website is hosted by a hosting provider within the European Union. For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption.

Server Log Files

When using the site, technically necessary server log files are created. The following data is collected:

This data is used to ensure the stability and security of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the security and proper operation of the website).

Log file retention period: Server log files are automatically deleted after 30 days, unless further retention is required to investigate a specific incident of misuse or a security breach.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use only technically necessary functions. No tracking takes place.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technically sound and secure display of our website) in conjunction with § 25(2) TDDDG (German Telecommunications and Telemedia Data Protection Act) and Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), as only technically necessary storage is involved.

Retention Periods

Enquiries submitted via the contact form or by email are stored for as long as necessary to process your request. After processing is complete, the data is retained for the duration of the statutory retention obligations:

Upon expiry of the respective periods, data will be deleted unless there are other legitimate reasons for continued storage.

Disclosure to Third Parties

Your data will not be passed on, sold or rented to third parties. Transmission occurs only where we are legally required to do so (e.g. by order of an authority or court).

Data Processors

For the technical operation of our website, we engage a hosting provider as a data processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with this provider, ensuring the compliant processing of your data. The server is located within the European Union.

Transfers to Third Countries

No transfer of personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) takes place.

Your Rights

You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:

Special notice regarding the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. The controller will then no longer process the personal data unless it can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

To exercise your rights, please contact: info@seide.cz

Right to Withdraw Consent

Where you have given consent to the processing of your data, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). The lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to its withdrawal is not affected.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The competent authorities include:

External Services

We deliberately refrain from loading resources (such as fonts or scripts) from external third-party servers (e.g. Google Fonts). All content, including the fonts used, is served directly from our own server in the Czech Republic. This ensures that your IP address is not transmitted to third-party providers without cause.

Automated Decision-Making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, takes place.
